Stepping Into The World's First COACH Airways At Freeport A'Famosa Outlet, Melaka.

I'm sure you're familiar with the luxury brand, COACH. It's everywhere and has been around for as long as I remember. In this write-up though, I will be bringing you to the world's first, one of it's kind, COACH Airways.

Like the name suggests, COACH Airways is a unique luxury retail store and cafe, housed within a 1981 B747-230B aircraft (they call it, The Queen of the Sky), located smack at the center of Freeport A'Famosa Outlet, Melacca. You wouldn't miss this gigantic landmark.

That sunny Saturday morning, I was invited to Freeport A'Famosa Outlet, to witness the official launch and ribbon-cutting ceremony by YAB Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Bin Yusoh, Cheif Minister of Malacca and Datuk Julian Lau, Director of Freeport A'Famosa Outlet, followed by a tour of the much anticipated COACH Airways.

Imagine a new, fun and immersive shopping environment, emulating an air travel experience. That's - COACH Airways, the Queen of Retail.

Inside - the colors and fittings was exceptionally aesthetically pleasing to the eye, designed for a comfortable and memorable retail experience, with plenty of hotspots for photographs.

COACH Airways' layout was split into 3 sections - cockpit and cabin, retail store, and cafe.

Here're some snippets of the Cockpit and Cabin section.

The Retail Store Section on the other hand, features an exclusive COACH Airways Collection, consisting of a selection of t-shirts, passport leather cases, wheeled carry-on luggage, field tote and travel acessories. Apart from that, there're also a curated picks of all-gender ready-to-wear and bags. Do shop around!

You'd get to pick from a selection of freshly brewed coffee or signature cold pressed juices at the Cafe Section. There're dine-in spaces to relax, post-shopping. 

If you're looking for new places to visit in Melaka or a COACH fanatic, COACH Airways is definitely worth visiting.

The Malaccan Charm: Of Cafes And Local Food Delights In Melaka.

For someone who finds euphoria in going on road trips, be it near or far; every once in awhile, I have to admit, that I have been exceedingly deprived of my traveling rendezvous, especially of late. It has been month(s) since I've last gone on a day trip, designated just for food. So, I was really looking forward to my day spend in Malacca, exploring new places, as well as revisiting old ones. 

I have had fond memories the last time I was here, grazing away on some of Malacca's offerings, which I wrote about here, and was hoping to do the same this time round too. We departed from KL at slightly pass 8am and arrived at Malacca Town at about 9.30am, in a seemingly short ride.

My short trip to Melaka came marvelously eventful this time round. I was there just last weekend to catch the official opening of The Shore Shopping Gallery at Malacca River. And I'm super psyched to tell you all about it!

The Shore Shopping Gallery spans over 4 levels, 100 lifestyle stores and is occupied with 3 major anchor tenants - TANGS, Lot 10 Hutong Food Gallery and The Shore Oceanarium - the World's longest aquarium tunnel and coral reef connected to a mall. You wouldn't want to miss that!
