Part 2 : Regaining A Youthful Appearance At Kaiteki Skin Aesthetic Clinic SS2.

Two weeks later, I went back to Kaiteki for the filler treatment.

I'd also like to note here that filler treatments are typically used add volume to the face, body and to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Fillers are typically made out of hyaluronic acid, which is a substance that can be dissolved by the body overtime, hence it is not permanent in nature, lasting for about 9-12 months depending on type and care.

Fillers also tend to 'expand' when mixed with bodily fluid within the skin, so it's important to seek advise from a professional beforehand and not to over-inject. And as for me, Dr. Xiao Chien only administer 2cc of filler to add volume to my forehead (imagine 20% of a teaspoon), in 2 seperate sessions, within a span of 1 month.

#2 Session : Filler Treatment

A teeny amount of Filler (Juvederm) was filled into 3 sunken areas on my forehead, through 2 very tiny incision on my hairline. using the cannula method. I did not apply any numbing cream in the process, as local anesthesia was administer on the injection point. It took only about 30 minutes to complete the session. Optimum results can be seen after 10-14 days and can lasts for about 9-12 months with proper care.

The treatment was completed in a breeze, skillfully too for that matter, by Dr. Xiao Chien. Although I was pre-informed that the forehead area is one of the most sensitive part of the face as it holds less fats - I experienced close to no pain at all. Awesome.

My forehead felt tight and just a little bit bumpy immediately after the treatment, however there were no soreness whatsoever. The tightness eventually subsided after a few hours.

As scheduled, I went back another filler treatment 2 weeks after, and a month later for my follow-up session. Here're some before-after pictures.

I was satisfied with the end results. For me, the treatment experience was really all about regaining a youthful appearance. It honestly felt like a confidence booster. Perhaps the feeling was not only attributed to the treatment results but also a subconcious morale booster on my end.
