Weekend Seafood Feast @ Steaks & Lobsters, Sri Hartamas KL


It doesn't take much to lure me back to Steaks & Lobsters, a place which I have talked about a couple of dozen times now, and mentioned twice already on this blog (read Part 1 Here and Part 2 Here). 

This time round however, instead of the usual dinner feast, I was there on a Saturday afternoon, eager as ever to feast on their newly launched, Weekend Seafood Feast menu, available from 12pm-3pm, on weekends only.

For a supposedly leisure late lunch, me and 10 other friends shared a serving of The Six Sigma (RM418 for 6 pax), topped with additional helpings of Two (2) USDA Prime Grade Black Angus Beef (RM115/serving) and Two (2) Grilled Live 1/2 Canadian Lobster (RM90/serving), with hopes that there were more than enough to go around.

While we waited for the main course to be served, we sipped on Cold Pressed Juices (unlimited refills at RM28.00) and Sparkling Wine (free flow at RM58.00).

We also nibbled on some of Steaks & Lobsters' popular appetizers such as the Sweet n' Spicy BBQ Chicken Wings (RM25.00), alongside one of my favorites, the S&L Portobello Fries (RM19). There was no way I could miss this.


Despite the ongoing distractions, I reserved ample tummy space for the food galore that awaits. It was obvious that all eyes were on the seafood platter when it was placed before us. 

Humungous! Best eaten with bare fingers.


In spirit of tasting, I gave every one of the eleven seafood selection on the platter a go.

The lobster claws were beautiful; the barramundi delicious; the grilled scallops were nicely done; the steak was juicy, tender and definitely a worthy addition (wet-aged for 45 days and cooked on a lava stoned grill); and the prawns - those were an abundance.

Part of the pleasure was the sinful addition of grilled cheese - a gooey combination of sharp cheddar and mild mozzarella poured all over. The cheese hardens real quick, so remember to eat it while it's still warm!


We were clearly stuffed by the time we got to the end, but nothing sounded better than having a dose of sweet treat after all-things-savory. 

The S&L Spanish Churros (RM18) came stacked with bite-sized churros, chocolate sauce and a glass of vanilla ice cream at the side.


All in all, I thought that the Weekend Seafood Feast was an abundant and satisfying crustacean affair, meant to be shared among family and friends. Tip: Wear something loose and don't make plans for dinner.
