AHOY Cafe
I don't usually do late night cafe outings, simply because my sleep-callings almost always triumph over the coffee-callings. Tonight was an exception however, deriving from a somewhat unfulfilling dinner, which called for a dessert stopover.
Hot Green Tea Cafe Latte. Rm12.
My first sip was delightful - hints of bitter green tea and coffee flavors balanced by sweetness from the milk. Don't let it sit for too long however, the taste changes to an unpleasant note when it cools down.
Chocolate Lava Cake. Rm14.
Got your cameras ready? A light slit on the crisp pastry and out flowed a stream of warm chocolate lava, which thankfully wasn't as thick and sweet as I initially thought. I also enjoyed the ice cream which had chunky nuts in between.
Overall Rating: 7.5/10. Maybe I will give their kimchi wrap a go in my next visit. On that note, if you're into green tea flavored lava cakes, Okonomi Publika does them pretty well.
