Hot Stone Massage Review, The Asia Spa KL

I have a confession. I am a Spa addict - if there's even such a thing. I'm addicted to massages. Over the years, I've stumbled upon plenty of inferior ones and only a handful that is worthy of recommendation.

So when I heard that The Asia Spa, an award winning contemporary Balinese spa, that offers one of the best massages in town, I knew I had to give this place a go.

The spa experience normally begins when you make that phone call.

This is the crucial phone call to book yourself an appointment - the number of beep matters, the tone of the voice that picks up matters, and of course being able to give you the time slot that you requested for, critical. No one likes to be placed on a waiting list. Spa owners, you may want to do a check list from now.

Then, there's that long anticipated wait.

When the day finally arrives, you feel plenty of positive chi, you put on the most comfortable clothing you have, with minimal make up or none at all, hop into the car and hope that traffic will be smooth sailing. You'd want to be parked nearest to the entrance. Not so much of the walk there but the walk back that you take into consideration. You'd want to prolonged those relaxed muscles for as long as possible. At that point in time, all that should be on your mind, was to sleep the next few hours away.

That's what I call a total spa experience.

The Asia Spa is located along Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, 5 minutes away from KLCC and upstairs of Las Vacas. Parking lots here are aplenty - no stress there.

The Asia Spa provides a combination of traditional and modern spa experiences with 30 choices of privilege spa treatments to pick from. They not only offer a range of massages, but also slimming treatments, facials as well as manicures and pedicures. Having won numerous accolades over the years, notably one by Tourism Malaysia, I would only expect the very best, I was really looking forward to trying out their massages.

Upon stepping into the spa, I immediately felt at ease. It must be the warm hues and contemporary Balinese touches. I was then welcomed with a cup of soothing warm ginger tea.

There're 14 couple treatment rooms in total, 4 bedded massage room, as well as a VVIP facial saloon.

I have to say this out loud - the treatment rooms are like hotel rooms! Moreover, its always more comforting to have a closed-door wardrobe to keep your personal belongings. At least it does mine.

Of the many spas I've visited, this is the first time I've encountered one where each room has its own private steam bath and Jacuzzi tub. Talk about added luxury and privacy!

The Asia Spa also carries a full range of spa products. From bath and shower gels, to facial products and even cosmetics! On the right, tools for my ear candling treatment later on.

The 2 hours I spend in The Asia Spa was one of the best I've had in awhile. My therapist was top notch, the environment was very private and relaxing and the Jacuzzi - nothing else can beat that. This is, what I call, the total spa experience.
