Pizza San Francisco @ The Mines

Read my updated review (Feb 2015) Here.

When my friend mentioned that the bunch of us will be meeting up in Pizza San Francisco, I thought I mistakenly heard San Francisco Steakhouse. Little did I know, it was actually a Pizza joint, located at one far corner of the mall.

I was there to grab a bite before heading to Hennessy Artistry, which was held in MIECC a couple of months back.

Pizza San Francisco

Nachos. Rm16.90.

Nachos was served with generous amount of mozarella cheese, onions, tomatoes cubes, my favorite jalapenos and topped with a serving of cream cheese and guacamole. A definite must try.

Chilli Mussels. Rm16.90.

 Pizzaido. Rm21.90 (R).

San Special. Rm31.90 (L).
The San Special was still pipping hot when it was served. When I sliced through it, the fillings started oozing out. This is a combination of half a calzon with turkey salami and half a pizza with minced chicken, cherry tomato, garlic, chili and mozzarella cheese.

The ends of the crust was really crispy and the melted cheese on top of it made it much more aromatic. The fillings was flavourful and just the way I like it. I highly recommend this.

Baked Fish. Rm17.90.

The baked fish was a bit of a dissapointment. It was simply just too dry and tough, to top that off, it was charred on one side the fish. The pasta was decent nonetheless.

Olive Gamber. Rm20.90.

Initially I wasn't a big fan of pesto but since the delectable pesto experience I had in Ben's, I definitely have to give this a go. This version was slightly drier compared to the Ben's version and has more basil in it and comes with prawns, chili, crushed anchovies, sundried tomatoes and spinach in light tomato sauce.

And a picture of me and the girls in Hennessy Artistry.

Overall Rating: 7/10. I was pretty impressed by the quality of food served in this restaurant. I reckon one of the reasons it's not as popular as other pizza joints because I don't see any branches in major malls around the PJ and KL vincinity. There is one located in Kota Damansara, nearer to where I live. The downgrade was because of the dry and chewy baked fish dish that was served. I guess some dishes will not be as good in the menu.

Menu is available Here.
