Product Review : La’ Piel Labs Aqua De Lucir Hydro Softner & Hydro Expert Gel Cream

I'm a huge fan of naturally derived skincare products nowadays, so when La' Piel Labs dropped me two of their signature products, I was super excited to try it out, because really - everyone strives for beautiful skin, I'm sure you do too.

A little bit of introduction of the brand before my review.

Contrary to it's name, La' Piel Labs is a premium skincare brand from Korea, offering cruelty-free and sustainable products, manufactured with over 90% naturally derived EWG All Green ingredients.

The Aqua De Lucir series comprise of 5 key products, focused on providing,

πŸ’š Intense hydration & Anti-aging πŸ’š

Each product works to repair damaged skin, protects against blue light and fortifies the skin barrier for moisture retention and wrinkle reduction.

Great. Just what I'm looking for.

In this writeup I'm going to talk about,

πŸ’š La’ Piel Labs Aqua De Lucir Hydro Softner πŸ’š
πŸ’š La’ Piel Labs Aqua De Lucir Hydro Expert Gel Cream πŸ’š

It is also worthy to note that both products contain signature natural ingredient Blue Green Algae, found in pure lakes and known for it's self-regeneration abilities.

Before that, let me also share my skin type and concerns - I have sensitive skin type, which also meant that I'm very prone to skin irritations and facial redness. I also have dehydrated skin, in other words, lack of moisture, so sometimes my skincare products doesn't really absorb that well, plus my make up usually cakes up after awhile. Being the age that I am right now, some wrinkles and crowfeet is really inevitable.

With that, the Aqua De Lucir range fits right into my skin profile.

At the time of writing, I have used both products consecutive for 10 days. Here's my review.

La' Piel Labs Aqua Lucir Hydro Softner (RM149.00/200ml)
Infused in 83% lavender flower water, a suite of powerful ingredients like Blue-Green Algae Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Trehalose, Panthenol, and proprietary Botanic Complex. A unique toner with strong hydrating properties, made to refresh dried out skin, and to moisturise skin.

The La' Piel Labs Aqua Lucir Hydro Softner came in a transparent frosted bottle, and the content itself; the softner water, has a calming light green color to it.

The product is infused in 83% lavender flower water, hence it does smell like lavender when applied. For those who're sensitive to floral scents, please do take note.

I applied the Hydro Softner like a toner, on cleansed skin. I don't usually use a toner so this was essentially an additional step to my skincare routine.

On a few occasion, I have also used the product as a quick fix soothing mask, by simply soaking a few cotton pads in the Hydro Sofner Water, leaving it on my face for a good 5-10 minutes, then pat dry.

Overall, on it's own, effects are subtle, I'd highly recommend using this product with the La’ Piel Labs Aqua De Lucir Hydro Expert Gel Cream.

La' Piel Labs Aqua Lucir Hydro Expert Gel Cream (RM189.00/50ml)
A gel-based cream that acts both as a daily moisturiser, as well as a night-use sleeping mask. Ingredients like Blue-Green Algae Extract repairs skin damage, while Raphanus Sativus (Radish) Seed Extract locks in moisture under the skin to deliver loads of hydration to create a luscious skin.

Product Review : La’ Piel Labs Aqua De Lucir Hydro Softner & Hydro Expert Gel Cream

The La' Piel Labs Aqua Lucir Hydro Expert Gel Cream on the other hand, came in a light green bottle and the gel cream itself is slightly whitish to transparent. Like the former, this one also have light hints of lavender scent.

The product is slightly sticky in texture, so I used it more as a night-time moisturizer come sleeping mask, rather than a day-time moisturizer.

Product Review : La’ Piel Labs Aqua De Lucir Hydro Softner & Hydro Expert Gel Cream

Even only upon my first application, when I woke up the next morning, I noticed that my skin was a tad more plump, dewy and smooth. It really felt as though the product was working it's magic by pumping up the moisture level of my skin. I also felt that there was a slight complexion glow.

The rule of thumb is - as the skins' moisture level improves, product absorption improves alongside that too.

After 10 days of usage, the most noticeable change is that my skin's sensitivity have reduced, moisture level have improved, my skin felt way more hydrated and there was a slight glow to my overall complexion also.

Fantastic.

I do recommend both the La’ Piel Labs Aqua De Lucir Hydro Softner & Hydro Expert Gel Cream, and will incorporate the products into my daily skincare routine.
