2020 have been a roller coaster ride. Come to think of it, I figured everyone probably felt the same way too.
My birthday party was initially scheduled to happen on the 20 March 2020. It was just 4 days short before Malaysia went on lock-down mode. I guess the Universe just couldn't wait. I was obviously torn as the party arrangements made weeks before, perhaps months even, had to be re-thought of and re-planned. Furthermore I wanted this year to be special (well, in a way it was), so I made extra effort. One thing I promised myself and my guests, was that the gathering would still happen, be it weeks or months later, when the situation was deemed safe.
On the 1 August 2020, it finally did, and I'm so thankful everything went according to plan. The first of it's kind makan makan with my close friends, ever since the lock-down. I'm also thoroughly grateful to Define:Food, EatCakeToday, BloomThis and HobbyFlorist that supported.

The luncheon was held at Define:Food, located within Colony, Star Boulevard, KLCC.
The restaurant have re-sized it's menu since the re-opening of it's outlet in July 2020, limiting the menu options to Just Pasta, from Aglio Olio (RM14.00), Mac & Cheese (RM14.00), Beef Bolognese (RM18.00) to Salted Egg (RM18.00) options to just name a few, alongside a handful of add-ons, including the popular Gindaco Takoyaki. The designer cake that I chose was from Eat Cake Today, curated by popular local baker, The Buttercake Factory. My cake delivery arrived on the dot, as promised. I absolutely love the angel wing details and pastel colors to match, also not forgetting the delicious marble nutella cake beneath. Trust me when I say, the cake not only looks good, but taste great also.

For my flower hat box, I opted for red roses, simply because it's more popping in photographs. I can probably dry the roses out and re-use it for my other photo shoots too. DeleteI had my birthday celebrations this year during the week of Mar 12 (my actual b'day) and thankfully all done before the MCO struck. Yeah it has been a crazy year, but thankfully we can still move around with the new norms. But nothing is the same every again. Well, happy belated birthday. Wish you all the best! Adapt and enjoy.
