This writeup is all about celebrating Christmas in style.

No, it's not too early to plan. Yes, Christmas is just around the corner. And I've got a handful of kicking dining ideas to share.


Chapter ONE @ Sri Hartamas

Taglined, Work Hard Play Hard, Chapter ONE is a Bar and Bistro, serving a wholesome variety of Western cuisine, with a distinct preference towards tapas.

First up, Beef In CONNOR'S (RM45++) - a elegant serving of prime beef cooked in CONNOR'S Stout Porter. The beef had toothsome textures, flavorsome and had a nice hint of bitter sweetness from the use of CONNOR'S Stout Porter. Served with vegetables and served with toasts.

The CONNOR'S Baby Back Pork Ribs (RM42++) was a joy to devour. The baby back ribs came braised in CONNOR'S Stout Porter, glazed then baked with BBQ sauce, served with roasted potatoes and mixed salad.

BLACK Market @ Kg Pandan
Black Market is famed for it's signature pork ribs dish.

My first time having deep fried ribs! The Deep Fried Pork Ribs With CONNOR'S Infused Sauce (RM69++) was deep fried to a golden brown color - crispy on the outside yet tender inside. The flavors were sweet, along with a right hint of bittersweet aftertaste, derived from the CONNOR'S infused sauce. Portion came real generous too! Served with a special house salad.

Deep Fried Chicken With CONNOR'S Infused Sauce (RM43++) was easily one of the crowd favorites of the evening. Marinated overnight with CONNOR'S and cooked sous vide for 30-minutes, the meat was flavorsome, tender, and the crunchy golden brown crust was simply the icing on top.

Hubba Hubba @ Bukit Ceylon

Hubba Hubba at Bukit Ceylon is located within The Party Hub. The interior exudes plenty of funky and quirky colors, in a grungy campus style setting. Dining here is fun!

Served on a wooden platter, the 180 Brew CONNOR'S Chicken (RM40++) came in the form of half chicken marinated overnight in CONNOR'S Stout Porter and mixed English herbs then roasted at 180°C. Served with CONNOR'S infused mushroom sauce and a petite side salad. Good enough to finish on your own.

The Hubba CONNOR'S Lamb Pie (RM50++) felt more like comfort food. Underneath the golden brown puff pastry, chunks of lamb stewed with carrots, onions and CONNOR’S Stout Porter.

The X @ Bangsar


The X is a Japanese Fusion restaurant come bistro, serving a mishmash of contemporary recipes.

A pasta dish infused with CONNOR'S Stout Porter? Now, that's a first. The CONNOR'S Hot Clucking Pasta (RM36++) comes with a serving of tangy and spicy CONNOR'S infused chicken spaghetti. It may burn!

For dessert, The CONNOR'S Chocolate Cake (RM32++) would be a decadent choice. A slice of heavenly rich chocolate cake, with slight hints of CONNOR'S aftertaste.

Nicsmann 1940s by Lewre @ TREC KL
Nismann 1940s By Lewre (yes the shoe brand) is a contemporary restaurant serving Western Fusion food. Located within the bustling stretch of TREC KL.

For those looking for a share of comfort food, the Braised CONNOR'S Lamb Stew (RM53++) would be a pleasure to devour, especially during the rainy afternoons nowadays. The dish comes with New Zealand lamb cubes marinated in a blend of 100 herbs then slow-cooked in CONNOR'S Stout Porter alongside carrots, celery, onions, leeks and potatoes, served with garlic bread.

Meja Kitchen & Bar @ TREC KL

Situated in TREC KL, Meja (literally inspired by the word "table', where folks come together, to eat, talk and celebrate life) is an Asian Fusion contemporary restaurant come bar.

Meant to be shared, the Season Snack Platter (RM38++) comes with an assortment of seafood and meat - there's something here for everyone. Grilled tiger prawns glazed in CONNOR'S, cheesy button mushrooms stuffed with chicken that's been slow-cooked in CONNOR'S and crispy CONNOR'S battered onion rings served with dark CONNOR'S chilli dip.

The BBP @ Bukit Utama
Aptly named The Big Black Pig (#TheBBP), the restaurant specialises in pork ribs.

The massive and glistening 800gm slab of CONNOR'S Pork Ribs (RM71++) was marinated overnight in a secret blend of herbs and spices, infused with none other than the CONNOR'S Stout Porter, then glazed with CONNOR'S Stout Porter over a woodchip fire BBQ. The portion is huge, so do order to share!

Beer can chicken? Now, that's a first. The CONNOR'S Beer Can Chicken (RM71++) came with succulent chicken marinated overnight with herbs, spices and CONNOR'S Stout Porter, then glazed with CONNOR'S Stout Porter over a woodchip fire BBQ. Have it with the homemade sambal sauce at the side for a fiery kick.

And an alcoholic dessert to top of the night? The CONNOR'S Mousse (RM29++) came in the form of a smooth mousse, made from fine cream and CONNOR'S Stout Porter.

Tika Taka @ Medan Damansara

There're plenty to go around at Tiki Taka, specialising in an array of pintxos, tapas and small bites.

I thought the CONNOR'S Chicken Smoor (RM34++) was a really interesting dish worth trying. The traditional Eurasian stew was rich and peppery,  infused with CONNOR'S Stout Porter, alongside crispy yet moist chicken breast, and served with deep fried fluffy mantou buns at the side.
