Taste Of Authentic Japan @ Yakitori Dining Fukuda, Evolve Mall PJ

Few days ago, I was invited to a unique food tasting event, where I got to taste some of Yakitori Dining Fukuda's seasonal dishes, as part of the Taste of Authentic Japan promotion.

The highlight of my Japanese meal would have to be the sampling of Japanese somen noodles, made out of wheat floor, and usually served cold. I'm sure I've had somen sometime-somewhere before, how can I forget?

Apart from that, there was also a brief somen-making, sushi-making and tororo-making food demonstration, churning out some the seasonal delights that I sampled that day.

It was a short yet simple event, and I can't wait to share some of the photographs I took!

No preparation on my part..... I only know how to eat.

Some of the seasonal dishes that I had that afternoon include Japanese Somen, Grilled Conger Eel, Japanese Yam and Matcha Jelly. Itadakimasu!

For dessert, we had Kyoto-styled parfait with matcha jelly.

I learned a thing or two about my Japanese meal that afternoon.

One being the easy-use of a pressed sushi mold to make Oshizushi (my grilled eel sushi was made using this no-fuss tool). I too, found out that Japanese yam can be made and served in so many different ways. And who would've thought that cold noodles would taste so good?
