Make Room For Everyone This Raya!

Every now and then I'm compelled to write about something a little more familiar and universal, especially if it has got something to do with celebrations and bringing people together.

Today, it's all about affordable and stylish home funishing options for the upcoming Hari Raya celebration. Now, everyone needs new furniture right?

IKEA have got everything under one roof, showcasing innovative ideas and stylish designs, turning a boring space into an exciting and new one!

Be it a new set of furniture, like this modern EKTORP two-seat sofa and chaise lounge.

With matching-toned OTTIL cushion covers to go with it.

Or this set of LENDA curtains. It's all about mixing and matching!

For me, any celebratory reunion would be incomplete without sharing a delicious homemade meal with loved ones. It's all about the food!

Hence, this BJURSTA extendable table would make a perfect fit for large family reunions. Plus, it's really easy to setup too!

Feasting aside, hosting a crowded room of guests is really not that simple, especially for families with children. Lack of comfortable seating arrangements, short of utensils while cooking, and even mismatched cutleries and plates to go around. Fret not - IKEA have got all the utensils you need.

This year, IKEA celebrates Raya with a touch of Swedishness in the Hari Raya festive video. In this video, we hear a makcik planning her Raya feast. Her thoughts start out slow, then grow quicker, reciting things quickly, almost like a slam poetry. As she plans out what is needed for the guests, the table fills up quickly with IKEA products that changes according to who the guests are.

Hop on to the IKEA Malaysia Website to view the e-catalog, or drop by IKEA Mutiara Damansara or IKEA Cheras.

Before I end this writeup, to everyone celebrating this joyous ocassion, Selamat Berpuasa and Selamat Hari Raya!
