Plan B Kitchen Takeover @ Bangsar Village I KL - Just Alright.

I have to admit, it has been awhile since I've last paid Plan B a visit. Matter of fact is, I'd almost always choose Ben's over the former. Nevertheless, when I found out that a new and exciting once-off menu was being rolled out in Plan B just recently, I thought I'd spring by for a quick one.

The Plan B Kitchen Takeover menu is only available in the Bangsar Village I branch and from 15 March - 15 April 2016 only.

Lychee Lime Frostie (Rm11) and Watermelon Lychee Frostie (Rm11) to quench the undying thirst.
I wouldn't mind having another one of these tasty Beef Kapitan Doffle (Rm25).
This Malaysian inspired doffle came in the form of two inflated waffles tucked with shreds of delicious beef rendang fillings in between. The waffle texture tasted lightly deep-fried rather than toasted however, hence lacking in that charred crispness I was really looking forward to. That'd - didn't stop me from finishing this nevertheless.
The Salted Egg Carbonara (Rm28) was a pleasure to devour - not too rich and with just the right consistency. It came intertwined with turkey ham, chilli padi and curry leaves. This pasta dish is part of their permanent menu.
The Springfield Donut (Rm18) was nice to look at, but a massive disappointment taste wise. Everything from the donut to the strawberry cream and the oreo and kit kat crumble, tasted very stale, as though it has been sitting in the fridge for days. The dry and less-than-appealing texture gave it away.

Overall Rating: 6/10. I had fun with the Beef Kapitan Doffle and Salted Egg Carbonara but not the Springfield Donut, obviously. Also in the Kitchen Takeover menu - Big Breakfast (RM35), Kristy's Krunchy Kale Salad (RM18), Salmon Edamame Rice Bowl (RM26) and a range of Sandwiches and Waffles (RM22-RM33).
