Three Little Birds Coffee @ D7 Sentul KL - Nutella Bao And Coconut Affogato.

I thought I'd do a quick one today since I've been missing out a whole lot on the cafe hopping scene of late.

My Eat List was very simple that day, I wanted to have Nutella Bao and some savory donuts - which I will blog about in another writeup. Whatever else that surprises me along the way, I'll take that as a plus.

I ventured to a couple of new places that afternoon, half of which turned out as expected, some unfortunately did not. This cafe was my last pitstop, located at Sentul, slightly farther away from the more picturesque outlet at The Waterfront, Desapark City.

Nevertheless, I was glad I came to this part of town, Three Little Birds at D7 was quiet and serene. It was drizzling a little while I was there but hey, in place of the current heat, I'm sure everyone would prefer gloomy weather anytime. Snow? That though, sound a little too farfetched.

I have to admit, the concept was marvelous, it felt clever. Only available on weekends, The Bao (Rm19) came tucked in a dim sum basket, alongside a coconut affogato served in a chinese porcelain bowl at the side.
Have this with a spoon! I really enjoyed the ice cream and coffee combination. The shreds of coconut in the ice cream gave it a nice overall texture, served on a slightly acidic hot espresso.
The infamous Nutella Bao was a hit and miss for me. Hit - love the balance of sweetness and creamy texture of the oozing nutella once pried open. Miss - the bao texture. It didn't have much fluffiness to it and was very dense. It reminded me of the failed batch of homemade bao my mum made ages ago.
I also ordered a serving of Darjeeling Chiffon (Rm8) to share.
The chiffon cake was light and had subtle hints of tea.
White Tea (Rm13). I don't get tiny teacups. Mugs?

Overall Rating: 7/10. Despite the slightly amissed bao texture, I would still recommend taste-testing The Bao, scoring one for creativity. Notwithstanding, I also dropped by The Waterfront branch earlier during the day, but was told that The Bao was not available. Come straight to the Sentul branch to avoid disappointment!

Three Little Birds is located at:
Address: G-19, Bangunan Perdagangan D7, Jalan Sentul, 51100 Kuala Lumpur.
Opening Hours: 8am - 11pm (Mon-Thurs). 8am - 12am (Fri - Sat). 9am - 10pm (Sunday).
