Pince & Pints @ Bangsar KL - All About Lobsters.

A Lobster-rific feast awaits!

Pince & Pints

I was recently invited to the media preview of Pince & Pints, Kuala Lumpur, where I shared tables with some fellow social media influencers, had chili lobster for the first time and devoured some wonderfully prepared lobster roll.

While you're reading this, the restaurant is already up and running on full speed. Note: Bookings are essential.

Pince & Pints' lobsters are wild-caught and air-flown directly from the Atlantic Coast (Maine and Boston), twice a week. Thus, expect to see some really fresh and premium quality fare here.

Pince - Lobster claws. There're only 4 dishes to choose from in their food menu: Lobster Roll, Chili Lobster, Lobster Noodles and Classic Whole Lobster. Each tucked with a 600gm lobster.

Pints - Cocktails anyone? The drinks menu are extensive - reds, whites, cocktails, you name it.

Prices do not come cheap however. At RM158++ per dish (a conversion of SGD58++ from their original Singapore branch), Pince & Pints would probably only warrant visits for celebratory meals.

After a handful of photographs and with a cocktail in hand, I finally settled down and eagerly waited for food to be served - so did the rest of the table too I'm sure. Before we knew it, Pince & Pints delivered a feast for the eyes.

Lobster Roll.

The most exquisite buttered bread roll I've had hands down - generously topped with buttered lobster meat. All things buttered - the combo may be too-buttery-rich to handle. The fries, watermelon salad and garlic aioli sauce were equally delish. Tweak: A sprinkle of seasoning on the lobster would do better.

Lobster Noodles.

Chinese-styled fried noodles and a whole lobster fit for a king - meant to be shared of course.

Chili Lobster.

This dish was probably the table's favorite for the night. The sweet-spicy chili gravy added a really nice zing, balancing out the sweetness from the seafood. Dip the fried mantou into the gravy!

Classic Whole Lobster.

Steamed or grilled - we had ours grilled - the best way to enjoy fresh lobster meat. I didn't have fun cracking the lobster shell but I had a blast devouring those smoky charred flesh.

Overall Rating: 8/10. My meal was a gorgeous representation of fresh and premium ingredients. My favorite of them all - Chili Lobster. Again, at RM158++ per dish, my dinner felt expensive. Having said that, if you're looking for a Lobster-rific meal to splurge on, this place would do you well. I had an exquisite meal and one memorable evening. Thank you for having me!
