I was scrolling through instagram and coincidentally stumbled upon some mouthwatering steak pictures my friend posted. Feeling carnivorous already, here I am, on a Friday night, at EspressoLAB DJ. Full house!

Let's just cut things short.

Tonight, I am not here for the coffee but for this - The Manzo Project. This meaty-menu is only available on Fridays and weekends, 6pm - 10pm only. Where else can you get 300gm of sirloin steak for that price!

EspressoLAB Menu and Prices.

Fresh Citrus Goji-Ra (Rm8.50). Warm Milk.

Turkey Ham & Cheese Croissant. Rm20.15.

Turkey ham and melted cheese sandwiched between a crisp and fluffy croissant, with fries and salad at the side.

Elab Eggs Benny. Rm19.10.

For those who find sourish raw egg yolks a bummer, I would advise against this order, that is not of my liking either. The slices of smoked salmon came drizzled with bernaise sauce - raw yolk, vinegar and herbs.

The Manzo. Rm50.

I had my Australian grass-fed sirloin steak done medium. It was nicely marinated with just a hint of seasoning which I wouldn't mind more of. Being such a huge chunk of red meat, you may need some muscle-strength slicing it through, fries may start falling off the chopping board. Talking about sides, the grilled pumpkin was superb! I had it refilled 3 times!

Overall Rating: 7.5/10. Value for money? Yes! If you don't have a huge appetite, order a serving to share. My sides of fries, mashed potatoes, salad, grilled pumpkin and onions were delicious and most importantly, refillable. Trust me, by the time you're done with the steak, you wouldn't be able to stomach in anymore. Expectations aside, these are not wagyu kobe steaks. That said, I felt that what I had tonight was definitely restaurant-quality approved. On a side note, Espressolab DJ is currently running a buy 1 free 1 promotion on all beverages.
