Bandits Coffee Bar @ Plaza Damansara - Nutella And Peanut Butter Toast!

Unrelated to this review: I have this undying fixation towards horror movies, be it fiction or non-fiction paranormal reality tv shows, prequels and sequels of the modern Insidious, down to reruns of The Exorcism of the 80's, I guess I just like the thought of frightening myself at times. Post-lunch, I went on to watch The Poltergiest, one of the newest movie to hit cinemas. MEH.

Lost your appetite already? Hold that thought!

Bandits Coffee Bar

I first came across Bandits when one of my friends posted a picture of the infamous s'mores brownie on instagram. I've been wanting to visit eversince. I finally got around to doing so just last weekend and surprisingly - the cafe was virtually empty while I was there.

Nymph Of The Nile. Rm10.

Latte. Rm10.

Banana French Toast. Rm14.

Simplicity at its best - nicely made fluffy french toast with coconut, cinnamon and caramelised bananas.

Jabba The Hut. Rm25.

Love the spreads of nutella with caramelised banana toast.
Love the peanut butter with caramelised banana toast.
Love the avocado slices.
Love the lashes of bacon.
Love the bean salad.

However, the sunny side up felt like a boring combination and I'm not too sure chapati is a good idea - it had terribly chewy textures and was incredibly difficult to pry apart - thosai sounds like a better option, if need be.

S'mores Brownie. Rm10.

They've got some really tempting desserts on display but melted marshmallows? I'm sold. This was decent - nothing to shout about really, and could be done better if its a little less sweet and less crumbly.

Alas, some pictures of me.

Overall Rating: 7/10. My brunch here was plain pleasant. I can't stop thinking about the nutella and peanut butter toast however. They've got some pretty interesting desserts on display - snickers tart, toffee macadamia with cream cheese tarts, pandan lamingtons and chocolate avocado cupcake. Yum. I may return to sample some of those though not anytime soon.
