Desserts @ Thirty8 Grand Hyatt KL - High Tea Ladies?

What a way to celebrate the third day of Chinese New Year. #chor3HUATah.

Grand Hyatt KL

While I'm writing this, it's already few days post Chap Goh Mei. I'm sure everyone had a fantastic and meaningful stretch of festive holidays. And as for me, I had an amazing time too. Feasting on loads of food, as expected, and the once a year gatherings which inevitably came with a compulsory attendance tag. I'm glad the camaraderie still exists.

However this time round, I feel a little different. A ticklish sensation that made me feel as though my Lucky Star has finally awakened, for real. In the Chinese zodiac readings, every Lunar New Year represents a different lucky star for each individual zodiac sign - something along those lines. I am seeing a flow of favorable events coming my way already. Please keep the positive vibe and good things coming. I promise to be a better person this year.

Let me now rewind and bring you back to #chor3HUATah at Grand Hyatt KL.

This was taken at the lobby of the hotel.

And these were taken at Level 38 of Grand Hyatt, along with the panoramic skyline views.

We decided to go-ala-carte rather than their high tea buffet that day, priced at Rm88++, a more popular choice among the patrons nonetheless.

Overall Rating: 7/10. For me, to come all the way up here, it did somehow, subconsciously made me feel that food comes secondary. The beautiful ambiance and the overall experience probably counts the most. If I were to pick between the Signature Cake and the Crepe, I would've easily decided with the Crepe hands down - quite the contrary with my pictures, I know. I regretted not revealing whats hidden beneath - thick layers of soft and addictive Gianduja chocolate spread. I guess I was just too excited to dig in.

We breezed out of Thirty8 at a little pass 5pm, bracing the sweltering CNY heat and a parking ticket that costs RM20. Once I got home, I changed into a pair of slippers before stomping out, yet for another festive feast a little later. It's true that CNY makes a great excuse to overindulge in - well, more food.
