There're so many Medik8 products that I wanted to try! After doing some research, I settled with one of Medik8's best seller, the Retinol 3TR, a corrective serum, as well as their Hydr8 Day Cream, a pro-collagen hydrator. Like I've mentioned before, it's never too early to take care of your skin. I couldn't wait to try this winning formula out!

Now, I'm going to keep this write up as layman as possible. I'm not going to use too many scientific terms - that even I have trouble understanding, nor am I going to keep this too long and windy - because really, all that matters is if it really works.

For those who are really keen to read about these beauti-fic substances, rest assured, I will be linking it to the necessary websites for you below.

Medik8's Retinol 3TR (Rm230/15ml) is a professional strength advanced night serum. (Read: More details of the product Here)

There's a instruction card included in the pack - to be used sparingly at night for the first few weeks and daily after that. And as for me, I only use this product twice a week - one drop is enough for the entire face.

To put it simply, Retinol is an antioxidant that works exceptionally well on preventing wrinkles and increasing collagen production. Apart from that, it has great exfoliating benefits, that can improve skin clarity and texture, significantly reducing pigmentation, acne and pores.

Now, I have exceptionally acne-oily-sensitive skin, and that's like the worst combination that anyone can get.

My Results: The product gently exfoliates away the stubborn red acne marks and spots on my face. I can almost always see the spots fading a little when I wake up the next morning. It did lessen my blackheads and whiteheads too. However, because of its peeling nature, my skin also felt a little drier. So what I normally do is to slap on some cooling gel-creme on top of the serum at night. I also noticed that my skin felt brighter and smoother after awhile. It's quite a miracle potion this one.

What makes this retinol serum different from the rest - it contains 0.3% encapsulated all-trans retinol offering enhanced stability and gentle time-release action. Meaning - it has amazing absorption capabilities.

Medik8's Hydr8 Day Cream (Rm380/50ml) on the other hand is a light pro-collagen, intensive hydrating day cream. (Read: More details of this product Here)

The product comes in a pump bottle, half a pump is all you really need for one application. The product lean towards the gel side, hence, great ease of application, though it could feel a little sticky after that.

My Results: My skin felt noticeably hydrated, more dewy, and it did calm my skin redness too. I'm not surprised, it has some complex antioxidant and Ginseng properties in it that is known to heal the skin. However, I don't use this product daily. The product has retinyl (vitamin A) content in it, that is known to dry out the skin a little. Hence, I only use this product on alternate days. An added benefit - it is pumped with SPF25. Again, I have extremely sensitive and dehydrated skin. So, if this skincare regime works for me, it will definitely work for you.

On that note, Medik8 is currently running their first Snap & Win giveaway on their Facebook Page. Stand a chance to win a bottle of Retinol 3TR worth Rm240! I want another one!
