Spicy Scoops#10 | Part 1: Premier Clinic TTDI KL | number76 by Living Social

I bought myself a pair of new kicks and I went for a run.

It felt extremely exhilarating - sweating and hearing my heart beat. It didn't take long for me to realized that I genuinely enjoy running.

It may seemed easy for many but it really isn't. Taking the first step and picking up the pace - that was tough, physically and mentally. Particularly so for someone who have not worked out in a long time.

From what I remember, I left my over-worn pair of Adidas in Australia, when I packed up and left the country, sometime back in 2009. It was a melancholic moment with a finger count of about five years ago.

Since then, I have not been exercising at all. Heck, I didn't even own a pair of sport shoes!

The only form physical activity that I ever did was probably dancing at a club - if that counts. Apart from that, outdoor activities are clearly not my forte. I shy away from it and was not at all interested to participate.

Despite that, I did not gained any weight.

This food blog obviously didn't do much discipline to my eating habits either. I indulged in whatever I want, whenever I want - I really didn't care.

Again, despite that, I didn't gained any weight. In fact, I lost weight!

Lets be real - of course I felt unhealthy; of course I had body aches all the time; of course I fell sick easily; and of course I promised myself to start exercising tomorrow. I never got around to seriously thinking about it, up until recently.

Recently, I found out that one of my friend was diagnosed with cancer. At such a young age, it felt delusional, it made me feel scared.

I knew that that was my wake up call. It felt odd but I knew. It was time I did something for myself - for my body, which I have been stubbornly neglecting for the past couple of years.

Today, I finally went for a jog and I'm glad I did.

Hopefully, with this renewed interest of mine, my skin would take a positive turn as well.

Talking about my skin - for those who know me would know that I have been struggling with acne for the past couple of years. I've talked about it in this blog before.

My recent outbreak has caused some prominent acne scarring on both sides of my cheek. It breaks my heart to see the scars every time I look in the mirror, knowing that it may not recover even after years of diligently applying various products. I knew I had to do something about it really soon.

That's when I decided to go with Premier Clinic.

Premier Clinic is owned by none other than the sifu himself, Dr Chen Tai Ho. His credibility and expertise is most prominent at his aesthetically yours column published in The Star newspaper every Sunday.

Premier Clinic is an aesthetic clinic strategically located in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur. Licensed by the Malaysia Ministry of Health, Premier Clinic offers an extensive range menu of aesthetic treatments to help you attain your desired perfection in beauty and health.

The type of care you'd get here is top-notch. Why?

There is a Reserved for customer only parking space smacked right in front of the clinic. This would definitely come in handy for a bustling place like TTDI square. Remember to ask if it's available when you make your appointment.

I was also treated with Class and Care while I was there. Upon arrival, I was offered unlimited tea and coffee of my choice as well as immediate wifi services. Towards the end of my treatment, while I rested at the busy waiting area, I noticed that all customers were treated with equal care.

When it was my turn for consultation, Dr Kee, the doctor in charge for the day, welcomed me with a wide smile. ps: He has a gentle and really soft voice.

After all that, today, to treat my active acne and scarring, I will be undergoing the below treatments, over a couple of sessions for optimum results.

SilkPeel Dermalinfusion (Rm400)
The SilkPeel Dermalinfusion incorporates microdermabrasion as a part its process, infused with solutions to penetrate deep into the skin layers with its patented technique.

Skin Peel Therapy (Rm300)
The Skin Peel Premier Clinic use is called tri-chloroacetic acid (TCA) and is one of the original skin rejuvenation peels. They are recommended for men and women of all ages wanting to improve moderate to severe sun damage and or signs of ageing.

LED Photomodulation Therapy
The Light Therapy is an anti-aging procedure that will help to restore her youthful appearance with 100% natural looking results. LED Photomodulation therapy vastly improves the treated area and can help you improve the appearance of tired, flaccid skin, stretch marks and cellulite.

In my next post, I will be writing more about my treatments and of course more pictures. Stay tune!
