Spicy Scoops#8 | Scholl Velvet Smooth Review | Elianto Brilliant Riche Lip Colour Review

This is going to be a really long post.

Last week, I celebrated at a good friend's birthday at The Roof. It was a marvelous-marvelous night. Despite knowing each other for close to 20 years, we have never partied together, let alone among a big group of friends! She's honestly not the partying type to begin with - making the rendezvous even more memorable. On that note, I'm still cherishing every ounce of liquor my liver can tolerate thank you. Happy Birthday my dear Cindy and two other friends - Jace and KC.

Talking about friends, a close friend of mine, Natasha is leaving for The States really soon. While its not a permanent stint, it still saddens me that the companionship now feels - further than usual. There's really only a few friends in this whole-wide-world that I can really talk to about just everything - she's one of them. I guess I will just have to get used to the time difference and slightly delayed response. Have an amazing journey dear.

I think its about time I rekindle some old friendships and start making new ones. Good idea?

This week has been an exceptionally exhausting week at work for me. And this afternoon, I finally got to sit soundly in front of my laptop and write - something in which I've always found unusually calming.

Besides, today seemed to be all fitting to talk about feeling and looking good. The serenity of some good old pampering sounds like a fantastic idea.

I rarely go for pedicures - nor manicures for that matter. For me, that felt like an unnecessary splurge. I'd rather go for massages. Being varnish-free most of time also meant that I have incredibly healthy looking nails (heh) but well - minus the shabby cuticles and peeling hard skin that is. Buffing and callous removal sounds like a real hassle!

Not with Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electronic Foot File or #MYVelvetSmooth in this write up. Finally, off with the dry skin!

With a single switch of a button, you will hear a buzzing sound. The micralumina roller gently and effectively buffs away hard skin. Ready for a smooth journey?

For illustration purposes - I'm giving you a comparison of my feet - after one minute of action. Look at that! How can you not be impressed already?

Right Foot. Before - After.

Left foot. Before - After.

It's official - This thing works! It took me 10 minutes altogether to get this clean and fabulous finish. I'm obviously still in awe. Sharing-is-caring. I passed it on to my mum after that and she loves it too!

If you'd like to have smooth feet with a saloon finish at home, #MYVelvetSmooth would definitely do the trick.

#MYVelvetSmooth retails for Rm129.90 and comes with:
1 X Electronic Foot File
1 X Roller Head

#MYVelvetSmooth refills retails for Rm49.90 each.

Now, on to one of my make up essentials. Lip glosses.

Elianto is an international Korean inspired brand, synonymous with gentle skincare products and cosmetics. Today, I will be telling you about Elianto's 1st kiss-proof lip colour - the Brilliant Riche Lip Colour.

The Brilliant Riche Lip Colour comes in 6 vibrant shades, transfer resistant, long-lasting and with a weightless and ultra thin film that provides a vibrant and matte finish. It's major ingredients include Boswellia Serrata (Anti Inflammatory) and Sesame Seed (Hydration). It is also free from parabens, fragrance and talc.

I tested out all 6 shades. Which do you think look best on me?

Summing up my top 3 favorites.

For the look-good-on-everyone look, go for 04 Sexy. I reckon that's the shade that would probably go well for any occasion. I use it for my everyday casual look.

For the subtle yet simplistic look, opt for 01 In Love. A nude shade that has a hint of orange. I use this shade for work mostly.

If you'd like the signature lip-popping look, the 03 Blissful shade would fit well. I love that it had that classic yet vibrant, chic coral shade, perfect for a Saturday night out. Again, Brilliant Riche Colour is kiss-proof, so with all the liquid going around, rest assured the lip colour will stay till the end of the night. That said, I thought the lip colour was a little drying on the lips. So, remember to slap on some lip balm!

Tip: For brighter shades, lightly dab 3 dots to the lower lip and 3 dots to the upper lip. Then use your fingers to even out the color gently. Let's be honest - you wouldn't want to over-apply those bright shades of red right? Else, you may end up looking like a make up disaster.

All shades are priced at Rm25 for 2.6ml/0.87fl.oz. Available in all Elianto stores.

November Updates: After about a month of using this, I realized that I'm sensitive to some properties in this lip color. My lips started drying up and peeling really badly. Again, I'm sensitive to a lot of products and hence, I've stopped using this product altogether.

I guess today's write-up is just about enough for now. For an awesome weekend ahead y'alls!
