Spicy-Scoops#3 | Shopping with MrLens Review

It's like a wake up call where everyone was dying to say, "Good morning. Just checking in."

Sometime back, I started posting collated selfies of my peeps on social media. A breakfast compilation of self portraits taken in the morning, with clamorous attempt to reconnect to some sense of normality - at work that is.

The beauty and fun part of that, amidst the morning boredom of an empty office, I started receiving snapshots of sleepy faces in bed; annoyed faces in cramped public trains; distressed faces stuck in morning traffic; distraught faces at work; famished faces of breakfast eaters, and somewhere along those lines if you get what I mean.

It may have sounded a little vain at first, when I thought I could go on a photo hiatus and find some new kicks in curing my morning boredom, but between my morning coffee ritual and a boring excel spreadsheet, I realized it does makes me feel more connected - somewhat.

Moving on one of my make up essentials - colored contact lenses.

If you stumbled upon this blog, chances are, you are an avid online shopper - just like me. You're probably very familiar with online shopping platforms and need no detailed elaborations of what I'm about to say next. So, let me just zoom into the highlights of my shopping experience with MrLens. Rest assured, this is one of the most reliable online reseller of authentic and certified contact lenses in Malaysia. You are in safe hands.

Step 1: Search MrLens, Pick your lens, then Checkout. I'd usually browse through the entire website first and only register myself if I'd liked to make a purchase. This time round, I've decided to get the Colourvue Big Eyes Dolly Black lenses. Click Checkout upon confirmation.

Step 2: Register yourself. Click I'm ordering as a new customer and it'll lead you to a My Account page. You'd probably end up filling in more information than required in most cases, but this is clearly for security reasons.

Step 3: Confirm your order and Done! Confirm your mailing details, make payment, confirm your order and you're done! It took me 2 minutes altogether from start to end.

What I really liked about MrLens - free shipping, ready stock, prompt delivery and lollipops - yes, you read right. The added touch was a great idea - 2 lollipops in a sealed bag. Nothing extravagant, but the gesture did make me smile when I pried open my parcel. And I received my lenses within 1 day upon ordering. Throughout the entire shopping process, I received 3 confirmation emails - a welcoming email when I signed up, one to confirm my order, and another when my parcel was shipped.

What I would liked to see improve - there appears to be some teething problems when I tried to click different powers for my lenses, but this was easily resolved with a few clicks of the refresh button. All in all, it was an easy, fast and secured transaction with MrLens. Thank you MrLens and Butterfly Project Malaysia.

Taken right after a fashion show, my unsettling attempt of an unlikely vogue inspired pose.

Can you believe that I was part of a fashion show? As an amateur runway model? And now I'm writing about it in a food-centric blog? As my life gets a hint spicier, my appetite to write grows - and also to eat of course. A little more on the runway rundown some time next week when I grab hold of the official photographs. Have a great weekend ahead!
