Sevencups @ Empire Damansara

We came all the way to Empire Damansara wanting to give the much talked about Boat Noodles a go that evening, not knowing that they'd closed between 3pm-6pm. With utter disappointment, we loomed around the block on the look out for coffee. We passed by two other cafes before stumbling into Sevencups.

Once I stepped into Sevencups, I immediately noticed the Please Order Here sign. So I stood at the counter, gave the sheet of paper a thorough glance and thought - there has got to be a menu here some where. 

There was none. Only a handful of coffees and a few types of cakes on offer and that's about it. 

I sat down and peered around the cafe and it was crowded with coffee-break patrons. It did subconsciously made me lever up my expectations on the coffee served. It must be that good for people to come by since there is nothing much to fall back on around here.

Iced Mocha. Rm13.

Flat White. Rm10.

The flat white that I had was not at all acidic, rather consistent in texture, slightly mild and doesn't stay in the mouth. A blend of African coffee beans maybe? I managed to pull through the entire cup without having a sip of water. The coffee fitted what I liked best and it was very good. 

My first time at Empire Damansara calls for a stroll around the block. Nothing much really, just a handful of restaurants opened thus far. 

Overall Rating: 6/10. Despite having a really good cuppa, I would probably revisit only if Sevencups introduces a food menu. Will I return just for the coffee? Perhaps, if I'm around the area. But I'd like to give Porcelene a go first.
