NAKED Restaurant & Bar @ Plaza Damas Sri Hartamas - That's It?

This is another one of those digital advertising gimmick that successful prompted me to visit. Was the food any good though?

NAKED Restaurant & Bar

With a name like Naked, you'd be expecting everything to be at a bare minimum. Unfortunately, or not, you won't be seeing any scantily clad waitresses, nor waiters for that matter.

NAKED - in designated food terms - Fully Loaded, Half-dressed or Naked. So how'd you like your burger?

Opened barely two months back, NAKED docks up mainly American infused dishes, including breakfast, lunch and dinner, but notably popular for it's creatively concocted alcoholic beverages.

Love the:- Exaggeratedly-lit trademarked alphabets, and the Broadway inspired interior.

Hate the:- Megawatt light bulbs. Too many lights. A lot of trapped heat indoors.

Menu offerings were rather limited. Consisting of a one pager - with a handful of appetizers, salads and mains to choose from only. At a glance, most dishes, including drinks, appeared to be priced on the higher side.

In the end, we hesitantly settled for a burger to share, accompanied by a couple of drinks - pensively decided that we will be heading elsewhere for proper dinner instead.

Kronenbourg Blanc (Glass). Rm16.

I'm no expert of beer, but this tasted refreshingly enjoyable.

NAKED House Burger (Fully Loaded). Rm39.

We opted for fully loaded - our burger came with seared, all beef patty topped with two lashes of crispy beef bacon, melted aged cheddar, meagre-looking spicy onion rings, and the usual salads. Served with a fry of chips at the side too.

At a hefty 39 bucks, I can't deny that I was expecting a tad more. The beef patty tasted fine - it was juicy and had toothsome textures. That said, I've had burgers which tasted exactly the same - but at half the price. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed at all.

Overall Rating: 5/10. Since I was there solely on the lookout for food, my standpoint would be rather bias. For me, NAKED appeared overrated - the food menu was skimpy and the price tagged to its dishes simply did not justify it's quality and quantity. Pub grub would do great in NAKED nonetheless - drinks were good, and choices came substantial. Dinner? I'm rather adamant to recommend.

NAKED is located at:
E-02-2 Plaza Damas, No.60 Jalan Hartamas 1, Taman Sri Hartamas 50480 KL
03-6206 1623

Located outside the Sri Hartamas mall. Take a right upon exiting the TGIF exit, walk all the way until the end of the shoplot. NAKED is right at the corner.
