Paradise Dynasty @ Paradigm Mall - 8 Colored Xiao Long Bao

I had 3 meals in 6 hours. This shows how much I've been eating on weekends ever since I started actively food blogging. I shall practice a balance diet to ensure food is not postively correlated to me-waistline and me-thighs. I know it has already started showing on my chicken-wing-arms though. Okay, Happy Reading!

Paradise Dynasty 樂天王朝
Parked under the same 'Group' as Kungfu Paradise, Paradise Dynasty recently opened its doors in May 2012 at the swaky new Paradigm Mall. Famous for being the 'Legend of Xiao Long Bao', I was quite excited to give the 8 unique flavours of xiao long bao along with its signature silky smooth La Mian a try.
You wouldn't miss the Sifu's showcasing some of their La-Mien making skills through its open-kitchen concept at the forefront of its entrance.

Pardon my kampungness, I honestly did not see the no-picture-taking sticker on the upper left hand corner of the glass.
With its extensively and tastefully decorated interior, one could only wonder how value for money this place is.

Rest assured, dishes are priced just slightly above that of Dragon-i and the likes.
Tea was served once we were seated. Unlimited refills.
While waiting for the xiao long bao to be served, I patiently flipped through its menu.
Rm26.80++ for 6pcs. Rm39.80++ for 10pcs. Rm25++ for a basket of 8pcs.
Not exactly cheap I suppose.

My basket of 8 unique flavors of xiao long bao arived in a jiff.

Consisting of Original, foie gras, black truffle, crab roe, cheese, ginger, garlic and spicy Szechuan flavors.
One bite into the steamed garlic xiao long bao, my tatsebuds was instantly bursting with flavors. The broth was distinct and the garlic flavored pork filling was juicy and rich. The truffle and foie gras xiao long bao was equally enjoyable with a unique blend of taste on its own.
Needless to say, after consuming half of the basket, the remainder did not taste explicitly different from the others. I had to wash off the aftertaste with a good dose of tea. Perhaps it was because I did not follow the sequence of 'Richness' when consuming the first half of the basket.

Also, I was quite dissapointed with the skin. It was dry, sticky and chewy, not at all smooth. The dough was practically sticking on my lips when I bite through.
!!!!! There is a specific sequence on the most delectable and right way to savour the Xiao Long Bao, from the lightest to the richest. My friend only noticed the name card at the side of the table after I've gobbled down half of the basket. I was upset that the floor staff did not informed prior.

With my sinful partner of the day and thank you Nathaniel for the picture.

Last but not least, my outfit of the day.

Overall Rating: 6.5/10 for the food and environment. It was an enjoyable experience for a shot of the 8 unique flavors of xiao long pau, though I have to admit that for the price I paid for, I don't find it particularly value for money. I was not utterly impressed as well and found it a tad overrated actually. Good for first timers but I doubt I will return for a seconds.
