O'Coffee Club Express (Kinokuniya Cafe) @ KLCC

I'm not a big fan of O'Coffee Club Express, which is also known as Kinokuniya Cafe so it seems. My previous experiences there (You can read about it Here) did not justify me visiting again.

However, with this called 'Majority rules', I was dragged there for lunch once again.

O'Coffee Club Express (Kinokuniya Cafe)

I was there relatively early this time round, about 12.15pm. The place was still relatively empty at that time and only one table was occupied. Plenty of space to go around. Another thing I noticed about the cafe was that they revamped its layout of the tables and chairs, which makes moving around much more at ease.

The promotion set is available from from 12.00pm-3.00pm and 7.00pm-9.00pm. It's a combo of either sandwich and coffee/tea or pasta and coffee/tea.

The Menu.

Norwegian Catch. Rm24.50.

I ordered the Norwegian catch set which came with a cup of espresso for Rm22.90.

When my dish arrived, I can't help but give the presentation an A+, it looked very inviting. Layered on 2 toasted breads, the Norwegian catch came with slices of smoked salmon, sliced eggs, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onions, a tinge of mayonnaise and guacamole on one side of the bread. The dish comes with rocket salad and a serve of wedges.

The bread was toasted just right, crispy and the sides but still soft in the middle. The smoked salmon and condiments was pretty decent also. Overall, I kind of like the combination of the Norwegian Catch. The downside was the wedges. It was soft and cold. I'm sure it has been sitting on the bench top for a very long time already.

Regular Coffee (Solo). Rm7.00.

Raisin Scone. Rm6.00.

My friend noted that this was a bit too sweet.

Honey Mustard Chicken Sandwich. Rm22.00.

Roti Prata with Chicken Curry. Rm10.50.

Iced Mocha Vanilla. Rm13.90.
Topped with a scope of ice cream, this looks really pleasing to the eye don't you think?

Overall Rating: 6/10. Upgraded because of the overall dishes ordered was satisfactory. Their new layout of the seating arrangements gave the place a bit of a spacious boost. Downgraded because of the affordability factor and I still insist that the food is still pretty standard.
