Christmas Gifting Ideas | A Shot At Food Styling.

One more month to go! It's time to prep for Christmas! My favorite time of the year!

Today, I'm going to talk a bit about Christmas Gifting Ideas.

All these made easy through www.CincaiBuy.com, an online website with products sourced mainly from China.

And a shoutout to TheBigBox.Asia for the wonderful cookie treats. More food stuff on my Instagram feed @spicysharon.

1. Christmas Kitchenware Bundle

Household items are one of the easiest and most practical gifts to gift. I got these red oven gloves, table runner, wooden spoons and chopsticks to heighten the cooking experience. Cake for me please?

While browsing through the website, I got confused with one of the item's description. So, I tested out two of their Help Function, one via Email and the other via Popup Request on their website. My email query was replied within 1 working day - not bad at all.

2. Christmas Table Mats & Table Runners

These festive place mats have got to be my favorite thus far. It has dual function - use the pattern side for Christmas and the plain red side for Chinese New Year. I think this can stay on my dining table all year round. Spicing up the reunion dinner!

3. Christmas Door Gifts

Food containers would make fantastic door gifts. Remember to fill 'em up!

For this gifting idea, all you need are simple plastic or glass containers, christmas ribbons and some christmas or any excess cloth you can find.

4. Christmas Cushion Sets

I wanted to get something which exudes festive vibes, yet practical for the house.

I typed in Christmas on the search tab and browsed through pages of christmas trees, wreaths and ornaments. I already have a small tree at home, so I didn't exactly needed another one, though I have to admit, I was extremely tempted to get a new one. The chepeast I saw was Rm18 for a 30cm tall tree! So, if you're looking for decorative ornaments, you know where to go.

After going through countless choices in the Christmas Cushion Covers tab, I decided with these cushion covers (Style 1/ Style 2). On second thought, I think I'm going to keep this than gift it.

The Purchase Experience: Though on the pricier side, all the goods I ordered online came in perfect condition and was of great quality, as depicted on the website. Having said that, one of the setbacks from an otherwise pleasant purchase experience would have to be the ocassional confusing descriptions. Since the products are sourced from China, most descriptions are auto-translated to English, hence it may be very confusing at times. Additionally, shipping costs are not auto-generated, an estimated quote will be send via email upon confirming order. This may be very tedious to first time buyers. Apart from that, my shopping experience have been straightforward and pleasant.

All of the items showcased in this writeup are available at Cincaibuy.com and the food stuff are from TheBigBox.Asia. Thank you for the early Christmas gifts!

On a side note, this is my first attempt on food styling and I had heaps of fun doing it - dropping biscuit trails all over and munching on whatever that's left of it. I have to admit that it took way more effort perfecting that strayed cookie crumb than the point-and-shoot I'm more accustomed to during food reviews. Nevertheless, it was all worthwhile in the end, everything turned out better than I'd expected it to be, though I still have plenty of room to improve. Here are some more pictures...
