Sweedskin Soft Launch at JW Marriott KL

I'm an extremely sloppy person. But - yes, there's a but - I'm extremely careful with my skin. Having gone through a horribly terrible acne phase not that long back, I have always been careful on what I put on my skin nowadays.

It was not long ago that I attended the soft launch of Sweedskin.

What-skin you'd ask? That's right - Sweedskin. And no - it's not your standard pharmaceutical brand but a medical-grade skincare line, that is only available in designated skin clinics and certified dermatologists.

Having won the European Cosmetics Innovation Prize 2014, Sweedskin is the very first skincare producer in the South East Asia to use the newly launched Snow Algae Powder, which acts as an active ingredient to protect and activates longevity factors in skin cells, rejuvenates and protects skin at cellular level and at the same time, safeguards skin's youthfulness by activating Klotho. The theme of the day was corporate wear, hence the pastel jacket. Pardon the hand gesture.

The soft launch was short and simple, yet markedly informative. There was a welcoming speech by the founders of Sweedskin and a brief introduction of what Sweedskin is all about.

The introductory session was educational, but the Question and Answer session was where the real deal bounces through. Since the audiences present were all medical practitioners, the queries that were raised were very interesting. Sarah and Steph didn't miss out and had few of their own as well.

We stayed till the very end of the event, after what I thought was a series of bedtime stories and countless of tea time nibbles, we sneaked on stage and started taking pictures.

The launch ended at slightly pass five in the evening. I dragged my then slightly sore feet to Pavilion just next door and changed into the world's most comfortable pair of flats. It was a new pair of heels you see. For once, it felt so good to be shorter again. I window shopped a little more before heading home.
